Mother Nature gave us excellent source of vitamin C in the Amla berry—the Indian gooseberry (Emblica officinalis). Amla, honored for over 5,000 years in Ayurvedic medicine for its tonifying, anti-aging and immune enhancing properties, is packed with whole food vitamin C and naturally occurring bioflavonoids. Research shows that Amla is 12 times more assimilable and creates more potent medicinal effects than synthetic vitamin C. Two tablets of Amla-C Plus contain 800 mg of Amla, with 54 mg of vitamin C. These 54 mg of Amla-C are equivalent to 600 mg of ascorbic acid vitamin C.
Amla-C Plus is a unique combination of 80% Amla berry and 20% Spirulina. Amla increases protein synthesis and is useful for hypoglycemia. It contains high levels of the antioxidant Superoxide Dismutase (SOD) and tannins which inhibit the degradation of vitamin C and act as cellular protective agents against oxidative stress.
