In the Spring of 2001, citizens, activists, doctors, and lawyers came together to attempt to overturn a long-standing ban on raw milk in LA county. ''Isn’t raw milk already legal in California?'' you might ask. Not in LA county - raw milk had been banned there for decades, due to many factors including the influence of the dairy industry, as well as a number of health officials who were very misinformed about the ''dangers'' of raw milk. Armed with the facts about the history of raw milk’s use, the statistics about the many disease outbreaks due to pasteurized milk and the lack of outbreaks due to raw milk, and the many nutritional benefits of raw milk, the coalition succeeded in educating the LA board of supervisors, and the ban was dropped.
Now, the series of exhibits from that historic victory has been compiled and made available so that everyone can educate themselves about the value of raw, unpasteurized, unhomogenized milk! 52 pages, reprint
