This is a nutritious powerhouse!

This pure U.S.P. premium grade cod liver oil is rich in fat soluble vitamins A and D, all-important catalysts for mineral absorption and essential for strong bones, healthy teeth and normal growth. Vitamin A also plays a vital role in the utilization of protein and water-soluble vitamins. You owe it to yourself to read
Nutrition and Physical Degeneration
as well as the official response from the WAPF on
The Cod Liver Oil Debate.
Cod liver oil is considered a must for women and their male partners prior to conception, during pregnancy, and for growing children. Its excellent vitamin D content plays a major role in assisting the body to absorb calcium, which protects against osteoporosis, arthritis, cancer, mental disorders, chronic fatigue, digestive problems, and nerve problems. We can eat an abundance of calcium rich foods and yet not absorb enough if we are lacking in vitamin D, so prevalent in today's age of ''cave dwellers!''
Our cod liver oil is also rich in the essential fatty acids EPA and DHA. EPA is essential for the production of prostaglandins, which are hormones that direct many important processes in the cells. DHA is vital for the healthy development and functioning of the nervous system and brain.
This pure U.S.P. premium grade cod liver oil is extracted from the world-famous, healthy cod fish from the deep, unpolluted oceans in the north of Norway. The key to this oil's high nutrient density is harvesting cod with an especially rich nutrient spectrum, and fishing during the times of year that the nutrient levels are highest. For these reasons this oil has more than twice the nutrients per serving of other cod liver oils. Produced without harmful solvents, deodorants or bleaches. This oil is nitrogen flushed to prevent rancidity and is kept at cool temperatures before shipping to avoid spoilage. Regularly tested for mercury, PCBs, and other toxicity, this oil is free of any toxins.
Liquid tastes very mild! Also available in convenient vegi-capsules!
Recommended serving size of 1/2 teaspoon contains (96 servings per bottle):
Vitamin A: 6,250 IU
Vitamin D: 625 IU
EPA: 175 mg
DHA: 253 mg
Vitamin E: 22 IU
Recommended serving size of 3 capsules contain (50 servings per bottle):
Vitamin A: 4,750 IU
Vitamin D: 475 IU
EPA: 133 mg
DHA: 133 mg
Vitamin E: 17 IU
Tips: Refrigerate after opening. Infants under 2 should get 1/4 tsp. daily, the rest of us should take about 1/2 tsp (3-4 caps). Some like to take the liquid with 3 oz. water, milk, or juice. Make sure to include butter & other saturated fats in your diet as they help the body to utilize the unsaturated fatty acids that predominate in cod liver oil.
Synergy of Butter Oil and Cod Liver Oil
Research shows that butter oil and cod liver oil, taken together, provide complementary factors leading to proper essential fatty acid balance. High-vitamin butter oil contains arachidonic acid (AA), an omega-6 fatty acid, while cod liver oil is rich in eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), an omega-3. Moreover, the saturated fatty acids in the butter oil promote efficient utilization of the unsaturated fatty acids in the cod liver oil. Our
High-Vitamin Butter Oil
is extracted from dairy milk produced by Guernsey and Devon cows (high butterfat producers) that graze exclusively on irrigated grass in the northern Great Plains. This specific combination of climate and irrigation produces a rapidly growing specialized forage, ensuring optimal levels of Activator X. Activator X and vitamins A and D are then further concentrated by putting the butterfat through a specialized low-temperature centrifuge process.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Does your cod liver oil have all natural vitamins A, D and E? Are there any synthetic vitamins?
A. The vitamins in our cod liver oil are all naturally occurring. It is uncommon in the industry but our sources are one of the few remaining that maintain these natural standards. There are no synthetic vitamins added. Read
The Fourfold Path To Healing
and learn about the benefits of cod liver oil.
Q. Can I get too much vitamin D?
A. If you take cod liver oil in recommended amounts and eat a normal diet and have no liver problems, you shouldn't get too much vitamin D.
Q. Should I stop taking cod liver oil in the summer?
A. You can consider cutting down on cod liver oil during the summer months if you get out in the sun with few clothes on and no sunscreen during the middle of the day on a daily basis for 20 minutes or more. In other times of year in the US, the UV-B rays are diminished so vitamin D production happens much less robustly.
Q. Will I like the taste of cod liver oil?
A. Many of our customers enjoy our unflavored cod liver oil right from the spoon. Many children even ask for it. Others prefer 1/2 tsp mixed with a small amount of water, milk, or juice. Alternatively, we offer cod liver oil in capsules.
Q. Is the cod liver oil heated in processing? Are any solvents used?
A. In general, cod liver oils are heated during the process of extracting the oil from the fish liver. We do not consider this a raw food but it is processed as little as possible, with no solvents used in its production.
Q. Is it pure?
A. Yes. This quantum-state, concentrated, pure and US Pharmaceutical grade cod liver oil from Norway is the best quality in the world.
Q. Why do the capsules cost more than the liquid?
A. The expense of encapsulating into vegicaps is clearly a factor.
Q. Why choose capsules over the liquid?
A. The capsules add convenience. There is no measuring required. Capsules also shield the fish oil taste and texture for those who prefer to take their cod liver oil in a non-liquid form.
Q. Is it "high vitamin cod liver oil?"
A. Yes. This oil comes from a certain species of cod fished during the seasons when the nutrients are at optimal density resulting in a nutrient content that is 2-5x greater density than other brands while maintaining the recommended ratio of Vitamin A to D.
Q. What is the expiration date for Quantum Cod Liver Oil?
A. Premier Quantum Cod Liver Oil is recommended to be consumed within two years from the date it was bottled. The bottling date can be found below the barcode. It is the first six digits before the hyphen, and it reads: year, month, day. So if the numbers read: 090129, the bottling date is: January 29, 2009.
Q. Will this all natural cod liver oil continue to be offered?
A. Radiant Life will continue to offer it as long as the supply is available. We will never provide cod liver oil with synthetically produced vitamins.
Q. Why do you carry different cod liver oils? What's the difference between fermented and non-fermented?
A. Both of our cod liver oils (Quantum and Fermented) are high vitamin with naturally occurring Vitamins A and D. The Weston A. Price Foundation has recently endorsed both products. The vitamin potency of the Quantum is in fact higher and has a Vitamin A to Vitamin D ratio of 10:1. The Fermented has a Vitamin A to Vitamin D ratio of about 5:1. Some people prefer lower levels of Vitamin A and therefore choose the fermented. Others comment that they value the digestive benefits of fermented products. Fermented is available flavor & antioxidant-free as well as in a variety of flavors. Others prefer the taste and feel of the unfermented as well as its lower price point. Quantum cod liver oil is 18 cents per serving while the cost of Fermented cod liver oil is 46 cents per serving.

From the fertile soils and green grasses of the Midwest comes a most precious whole food supplement: raw, grass-fed, X-Factor butter oil! It is the job of happy Milking Shorthorn & Devon cows (high butterfat producers) to munch growing green grasses and to produce rich creamy milk, which is then skimmed and centrifuged to make beautiful, golden butter oil. Dr. Weston Price found the health-promoting properties of raw butter oil and high grade
cod liver oil
to be truly extraordinary. You owe it to yourself to read

Rich in essential fatty acids and conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), this oil offers a rare concentration of the "X-Factor," which Dr. Price found to be important in supporting the uptake of minerals in the diet. Additionally this oil contains "the Wulzen factor," (aka "anti-stiffness factor") which promotes flexibility and supple muscles and tendons. Refrigeration is recommended to keep out light and for flavor, however the oil is very stable at room tempertature.
Recommended serving size is 1/2 tsp or 2 capsules for all ages.
96 servings per jar of liquid or 60 per jar of capsules.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Is X-Factor Gold Butter Oil Raw? How is it different than butter?
A. Our butter oil is made using only 100% unpasteurized milk that has only been heated to 96 degrees F for bottling purposes. The cows are totally grassfed so the butter oil is very yellow. It is five times more nutrient-dense than butter.
Q. How should the product be stored?
A. The product has a shelf life of about 2 years. It should be stored in a cabinet away from light at room temperature prior to opening. Once opened, please refrigerate. To extend the shelf life, butter oil may be frozen.
Q. Do the cows eat growing green grass all year long?
A. The cows eat growing green grass from April through October. During the winter months, there is no green grass, so no oil is produced. During the summer months the grass is irrigated so it continues to grow quickly.
Q. Is the butter oil organic?
A. Our butter oil is better then organic! In order for a product to be certified organic, the cows must be fed organic soy and corn feed. Our cows are fed only grass while milking. No hormones or antibiotics are used.
Q. What does it taste like?
A. X-factor Gold Butter oil tastes very much like butter, especially when refrigerated. Please note however that as a truly natural product, its taste can vary slightly from batch to batch.
Q. When should I take it?
A. Butter oil can be taken anytime - with or without food. For optimal results, it is recommended that butter oil be taken in tandem with high vitamin cod liver oil.
Q. I noticed that the product label indicates that butter oil is not a significant source of Vitamin A or D. Does butter oil contain any Vitamin A and D?
A. Yes, however the amounts are less than those contained within our cod liver oil.
Q. How is it different than raw butter?
A. If the raw butter is totally grass-fed, the main difference is that the butter oil is about five times more concentrated and has no proteins or whey left - just the most precious nutrients.
Q. Is your butter oil free of casein?
A. Yes, the butter oil is free of all proteins, including casein. It also free of lactose.
Q. How is it different than ghee?
A. If the ghee is totally grass-fed, the main difference is that the butter oil is not heated beyond 96 degrees F at any point in the production process, and ghee is extensively heated, which would result in the loss of nutrients and a change in fatty acid quality.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Isn't coconut oil mostly saturated fat, which is bad?
A. The saturated fat found in virgin coconut oil, lauric acid, is a Medium Chain Fatty Acid. It is easily broken down by the body and is converted to energy, not body fat. For more information as to why saturated fats are not the bad guys as we've been led to believe, read
Eat Fat Lose Fat.
Q. When I received my coconut oil it was solid, but now it's liquid! Why?
A. Virgin coconut oil has a melting point of around 78-80 degrees F. It is perfectly normal for it to melt and it is fine for it to go back and forth between liquid and solid states.
Q. How is coconut oil different from coconut butter?
A. Coconut oil and coconut butter are basically synonymous. There are products on the market made by blending the coconut meat with the oil resulting in a different product known as coconut spread. Another product, coconut cream, is made by juicing raw coconut.
Q. Should I refrigerate it?
A. NO! Refrigerating coconut oil is not necessary for its stability. It can actually lead to mold growth in the oil due to the repeated condensation of moisture from the air into the jar.
Q. What does it taste like?
A. Some virgin coconut oils taste very strong - so strong that it overpowers the food you are cooking. Ours has a lovely mild coconut taste and aroma.
Q. Why should I take coconut oil?
A. Important nutrients like lauric acid have been reported to support the immune system, provide energy, support ideal weight and can have a positive effect on the thyroid.
Q. What does the centrifuge process involve?
A. Coconuts are shelled, crushed and ground into a slurry. The slurry is sent through a large centrifuge which spins moisture out leaving the oil behind, with very little moisture.
Q.Why buy Coconut oil from Radiant Life when I can find it cheaper elsewhere?
A. Not all coconut oil is alike. Our oil is selected with you in mind... Certified organic - Made without introducing heat, solvents, deodorizers, bleach, and refining. Our coconut oil is cold pressed and centrifuged to eliminate water. Coconut oil with high water content has limited shelf life as moisture destroys coconut oil causing it to go rancid. The only reason coconut oil gets processed at all is to separate it from the meat and the water. All other methods of processing have negative consequences on the quality, taste and feel of the oil. Please note that if the coconut oil doesn't smell or taste like coconut, it's not a high quality oil and it's probably been refined, bleached and deodorized (RBD). Some products labeled as coconut oil are not even made from coconut oil but instead from copra which is a dried coconut by-product.
Q. What type of container will my coconut oil arrive in?
A. We prefer to supply our coconut oil in glass jars. This is practical for our pint, quart, and 1/2 gallon sizes. For our one and five gallon containers, a medical grade plastic is used. This is the only safe way it can ship. We have tested this plastic and it's extremely inert.
Q. Can coconut oil be heated?
A. While many enjoy it in an uncooked state, coconut oil can be cooked safely up to 400*F. Many also find that it acts as a great natural moisturizer for skin and hair, even being absorbed by the body on a nutrient level through the skin!
Radiant Tips
Our coconut oil is wonderful in smoothies, great for sauteing and baking, and is fabulous as a skin moisturizer. Use several Tbsp/day for therapeutic results including weight loss.

Modern conventional salt is refined and highly heated, which robs it of its natural minerals and trace elements while fusing sodium and chloride into a toxic mixture that poisons our bodies. Celtic Sea Salt is harvested from the ocean off Brittany, France in an age-old tradition. Never refined, Celtic Sea Salt provides the body with needed natural sodium, magnesium, calcium, phosphorus, iodine, and such trace elements as silver, zinc, selenium, and manganese, among many other nutrients. As a natural salt, it is an important source of sodium chloride which in small amounts is vital for good health. The coarse Light Grey salt is still moist, dried only by the sun, and is best ground with our Ceramic Salt Mill. An incredible healing nutrient. Use Celtic Sea Salt - your body will thank you!
Recommended in Wise Traditions 2010 Shopping Guide.
We highly recommend the
Ceramic Salt Mill
as ceramic grinders are the only mills found to work with the coarse salt, which is moist. Mills with any metal content will corrode and thus should not be used. Attractive clear design with a heavy duty ceramic grinder. Available in black and white (2" diameter x 5" tall)
Q. What's in Celtic sea salt that I need?
A. Natural Sodium, Magnesium, Calcium, Phosphorus, Iodine, and trace Elements such as Silver, Zinc, Selenium, and Manganese among others.
Q. Why is Celtic salt better than table salt?
A. Regular table salt is mined for nutrients like magnesium and then sold to us as a byproduct! Table salt's sodium and chloride are fused together under high heat and pressure so those valuable nutrients become toxic and dehydrating for the body.
Q. Does it taste different than table salt?
A. Celtic salt tastes a bit less intensely salty than table salt.
Q. Won't eating any salt increase my blood pressure?
A. Many holistic doctors have observed that simply adding Celtic salt to a person's diet will help normalize their high blood pressure. (Tom Cowan, MD, San Francisco in particular)
Q. How is this salt produced?
A. SaIt is harvested from the ocean off Brittany, France in an age-old tradition. It is never refined.
Q. How is it different than other sea salts?
A. Many sea salts claim to be natural and unprocessed, but in fact are stripped of valuable nutrients.
Q. Can I use a standard salt mill for Celtic Sea Salt Coarse Light Grey?
A. Do to the moisture in this high quality sea salt, a standard grinder with metal components will corrode and should not be used. Out Ceramic Salt Mill (4356/7) is ceramic and won't corrode.

Perfect Pairings!
The olive oil you buy may not be as wholesome or pure as you think. Even if it is certified organic, first-pressed olive oil, if your olive oil is clear, it has been filtered or it may not even be 100% olive oil. If it were the real thing it would be completely cloudy and you could not see through it. Bariani is a supremely high-quality olive oil: harvested and processed the way it was done for thousands of years. Virtually all olive oils are machine harvested, extracted with heat, and filtered, all of which remove important nutrients and antioxidants.
This first-pressed olive oil is hand-picked, milled with a stone wheel within 48 hours of harvesting, and pressed with a hydraulic press. Grown on a small family farm in the Central Valley of California by an extended Italian family that moved to the US in the 1990s, Bariani olive oil is pesticide-free and packaged in a dark glass bottle to protect from oxidation. Exquisite!
Recommended in Wise Traditions 2010 Shopping Guide!
For the perfect combination, consider complementing Bariani Oilve Oil with
Bariani Balsamic Vinegar.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Is it heated?
A. No.
Q. How is it processed?
A. The olives are harvested in the late Fall and stone milled / hydraulic pressed within 48 hours. The oil is unfiltered and retains its rich flavor and cloudy appearance.
Q. Is it organic?
A. Bariani olive oil is certified organic in California.
Q. What does it taste like?
A. Bariani olive oil by itself has a potent flavor with a peppery finish. However, coupled with food, the potency and peppery finish melt away, leaving a lovely brilliant olive flavor.
Q. Should it be refrigerated? What is the shelf life?
A. It should NOT be refrigerated. If refrigerated, the olive oil will become extremely thick and impossible to pour. Stored on a shelf in a dark place, this oil will last over a year.
Q. What makes this unfiltered olive oil special?
A. Most olive oils are filtered, removing important nutrients and antioxidants. Most olive oils are machine harvested, extracted with heat and may not even be 100% olive oil! Bariani oil is particularly rich in polyphenols and vitamin E, responsible for its wonderful cloudiness. The presence of these antioxidants enable the oil to be stored for longer periods than other oils, and offer superior nutritional qualities as well.
