This excellent nutritional yeast is grown from molasses, is processed at low temperatures, and is packed with B vitamins, minerals and amino acids. Don't confuse nutritional yeast, which is deactivated, with active forms of yeast, like the kinds bakers, brewers, and winemakers use. This nutritional yeast will not contribute to candida growth. A. This yeast is not certified organic. Organic nutritional yeast is available, however we decided not to carry it as it contains gluten (from added wheat), excessive amounts of iron and only trace amounts of B vitamins.

A. This yeast is grown on molasses, not soy. Molasses is a good source of naturally occurring Vitamin B6, Potassium, Magnesium and Manganese. Frontier yeast is processed in such a way so as not to produce MSG by-products. The yeast is simply dried and rolled into tiny flakes.
