Over the last few years, most water districts have started adding chloramines (chlorine+ammonia) to our water. This dramatically changes the landscape of water filtration and purification because unlike chlorine, chloramines are very hard to remove, and they leach metals like copper and lead from your pipes into your water.

Our whole house chloramine system is designed to remove chlorine, chloramines, and a broad range of chemicals to create excellent bathing water and healthy water for your garden, while protecting your plumbing from the ravages of chloramines.

It has never been more important to protect ourselves from the toxins in our water! Animal studies show that rats given water containing chloramines that was run through copper pipes developed Alzheimer's symptoms! Autopsy revealed copper in their brains. Fish can live in chlorinated water, but die in water containing chloramines. So we really need to take this very seriously!

Our whole house chloramine system features high rate of water flow which means you won't see reduced water pressure resulting in someone being scalded in the shower as someone else flushes the toilet!

Models 03801, 03802 and 03803 include chrome jacket which looks gorgeous and creates virtually impregnable lifetime protection. Models 03804 and 03805 incorporate electronic controls for time periodic regeneration of special filtration media to ensure optimal ongoing filtration and long filter life (5-8 years). Due to their size, chrome jackets are not available for models 03804 and 03805.

One question we often get is whether this will create drinking quality water. The answer is typically no - because in most cities there are so many other toxins that to remove all of them you really need a dedicated purification unit such as our 14-Stage drinking water system. Many companies are claiming that their whole house filters are creating drinking quality water but after having researched those claims we have not found one that could deliver.

The ideal system for one's home is the whole house water filtration system at the point of entry (i.e. basement, garage) and then the Radiant Life 14-Stage drinking water system at the point of use (generally kitchen but can be installed in the basement). With these two systems combined, you will enjoy excellent, safe bathing water and perfect drinking water. Our chloramine filter comes in five sizes: the 1.0 and 1.5 cubic foot models are typically for smaller families with houses under 1500 square feet; the 2.0 cubic foot model is for houses over 1500 square feet; the 2.5 cubic foot model is for houses over 2500 square feet; and the 3.0 cubic foot model is for very large homes and commercial enterprises.

If you plan on using the services of a plumber for installation, we highly recommend that you open and inspect all contents of the system 2-3 days prior to the installation date. This will familiarize you with the system while ensuring that you know it arrived safely and intact while in transit.

Contaminants such as chlorine represent free radicals that can damage our hair, skin, and lungs when we bathe or shower. A whole house carbon system removes chlorine very effectively for your whole house needs. Another contaminant called Chloramine is now being added to nearly all municipal water districts, and it is formed by the combination of chlorine and ammonia. Chloramine is a nasty chemical that is much harsher than chlorine alone. Chloramine is so strong, in fact, that it tends to dissolve the inside of your pipes and fixtures, not only damaging them, but damaging your body when you come into contact with it. Recent laboratory studies suggest that animals given water with chloramines delivered through copper pipes develop Alzheimer's symptoms, presumably due to the elevated metal content of the water. Chloramine is harder than chlorine to remove, but it can be done with our special carbon system.

High Mineral content results in hard water and can cause problems for homeowners as it tends to plaque up plumbing, is hard on water purifiers, is not healthy to drink, and in the washing machine it can wear out your clothes much more quickly.
