Experience the Ayurvedic tradition.
Mother Nature gave us an excellent source of vitamin C in the Amla berry - the Indian gooseberry (Emblica officinalis). Amla, honored for over 5,000 years in Ayurvedic medicine for its tonifying, anti-aging and immune enhancing properties, is packed with whole food vitamin C and naturally occurring bioflavonoids. Because Amla provides a full-spectrum of nutritional co-factors, many people believe that it is more assimilable and creates more potent medicinal effects than synthetic vitamin C.
Amla Plus is a unique combination of 80% Amla berry and 20% Spirulina. Amla increases protein synthesis and is useful for hypoglycemia. It contains high levels of the antioxidant Superoxide Dismutase (SOD) and tannins, which inhibit the degradation of vitamin C and act as cellular protective agents against oxidative stress. Many of the great Ayurvedic tonics are based on Amla and have been used for centuries as a powerful digestive aid, liver stimulant, with anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, anti-histaminic, anti-viral and antacid properties. It has also been used to increase lean body mass and help with weight management. Both Amla and Spirulina are unique in Ayurvedic medicine because they are both tridosaghna, meaning they are beneficial for all body types.

Frequently Asked Questions
A. There is some research to show that Amla is more assimilable than synthetic vitamin C, although opinions on the matter are mixed. We believe that whole food sources of vitamin C, like the Amla Berry, are superior because they contain all of the naturally present phytonutrients and co-factors that are key to proper absorption.
Q. Are there any other binders or fillers in the tablets?
A. No. These tablets are made simply by pressing the powder together in a cold-tableting process.
Q. Do you recommend tablets or powder?
A. Amla powder is incredibly bitter so we prefer the tablets, which are easy to digest.
Q. Is there any way to mask the taste of the powder?
A. You can add it to fruit juice or a lot of water.
Q. Why is the spirulina added?
A. Spirulina is a blue-green algae that supports the assimilation of the Amla and adds extra nutrients.
