The Perfect Combo!

According to the research of Dr. Weston A. Price, cod liver oil and butter oil, when taken together, provide complementary factors leading to proper essential fatty acid balance. High Vitamin Butter Oil contains arachidonic acid (AA), an omega-6 fatty acid, while cod liver oil is rich in eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), an omega-3. Moreover, the saturated fatty acids in the butter oil promote efficient utilization of the unsaturated fatty acids in the cod liver oil. Finally, butter oil contains a broad and deep range of important quinones including vitamin K, E and CoQ enzymes while cod liver oil is rich in vitamin A and D.

This blend consists of 2/3 Fermented Cod Liver Oil and 1/3 High Vitamin Butter Oil. Perfect nutritional synergy is achieved in just one convenient spoonful!

The Fermented Cod Liver Oil is produced using traditional no-heat methods. In contrast to the harsh refinement processes used by many other fish oil manufacturers, this cod liver oil is gently small-batch handled through a proprietary fermentation technique. This delicate process naturally maximizes nutrient bioavailability and reduces any contaminants in the food. The result is an extremely pure and nutritious high vitamin cod liver oil that rivals those of past generations.

Our High Vitamin Butter Oil is extracted from dairy milk produced by Guernsey and Devon cows (high butterfat producers) that graze exclusively on the green grasses. A specific combination of climate and irrigation produces a rapidly growing specialized forage, ensuring optimal levels of vitamin K2 otherwise known as the X-Factor. Vitamin K2 and other nutrients are then further concentrated by putting the butterfat through a specialized low-temperature centrifuge process.

I have ordered all the products offered, capsules, cinnamon tingle, and chocolate cream. The capsules while smaller and more pricey have the benefit of being easy to take, therefore I'm more apt to take them daily. The gel is sometimes hard to stomach on a daily basis. Cinnamon tingle is good. It's very cinnamony and hardly fishy. Personally I put mine in the fridge and swallow a teaspoon with some water as to not try and savor the flavor. To change it up, this last time I tried chocolate. I cannot properly explain how disgusting it tastes. I don't take it very often because it turns my stomach when taking it and afterwards. It tastes of bitter chocolate and pungent fish. The flavor DOES NOT mask the fishiness like the cinnamon. I would never order chocolate again. It literally makes me gag when trying to take it. Try the capsules or cinnamon!

I found the taste of the chocolate to be quite disagreeable. There is very little chocolate taste, not enough to mask the taste of the oil. I found the cinnamon flavor to be better, as did my 8yr. old. Otherwise, very good product.

Bought the chocolate gel for my son & I. He has a (medical) problem with his teeth & has had his whole life (he's 16). Since taking this product on average 4-7 days a week, I have seen some amazing improvements with his teeth. I will definitely continue with this product. I wouldn't exactly call the flavour chocolatey, but, it's not that bad either lol.

Yes, the chocolate can not be described how awful it tastes! I'm hoping the cinnamon will be palatable. We mix it with a shot of juice and throw it down the back our throats. If the cinnamon's as bad as the chocolate it's back to the unflavored YUCK. Good thing I am utterly convinced fermented CLO (with HVBO preferably) is VERY necessary to take. It is quite nasty really.

This is a great product. My family and I have used up one bottle of the gel already. My dad had tooth problems and he says this is helping ease his tooth pain. The chocolate flavor doesn't cover the fish taste at all. But my mom loves it because she likes a fishy taste, oddly enough. The cinnamon flavor is my choice - it covers up the fishy taste quite well, but it's a bit spicy. The gel is more economical because it provides more product for the price, but the capsules are more convenient. I take the gel most of the time and use the capsules for travel.

Updating my previous review -- I have since found out that the cinnamon flavor contains 'cassia cinnamon' which apparently contains more toxins than the 'ceylon cinnamon' form. I'm not too familiar with the difference, but wanted to inform people in case they care about it.

Very pleased with this product! I bought it to protect my teeth and for its other health benefits. I have the chocolate flavour and must say I'm impressed! I cannot detect any fishy smell or taste in any of the 3 bottles I've gone through so far; just a very subtle chocolate flavour. I like how it stiffens in the fridge making it super easy to get a 'scoop' without any messy spillage! Will most definitely be repurchasing! Thank you for such a wonderful product!

Based on previous reviews, I ordered the Cinnamon Tingle gel. I tried a teaspoonful of the product immediately upon receiving it, and found the cinnamon completely covered the fishy flavour. I read that the product should be refrigerated, so my next dose was cold. I think the flavour is fishier when the oils are cold, but it is by no means unpleasant for me. (Then again, I actually enjoyed Carlson's cod liver oil with lemon, years ago. I like fish.) I do feel a need to freshen my breath after a dose because my husband, who does not like fish, finds the lingering scent distasteful. If I am not going to be kissing anyone, or speaking in close quarters with anyone, I just savour the remaining flavour of cinnamon and butter (and probably just a hint of fish). My friend, who is pregnant, told me she refuses to take fermented cod liver oil because she has read that the process leaves foul bits of cod liver in the oil, and that people have unintentionally consumed these toxic little lumps and been sickened by them. BLUE ICE DOES NOT HAVE THIS PROBLEM. I got right down to the bottom of the jar and found not a trace of foulness. Every speck of the oil blend was perfect. What I found most remarkable about the Blue Ice oil blend is that, after just a few days taking it, the pain in my teeth and gums disappeared, as did the soreness in my joints. (I am a very ill 30-year-old.) Overall, I felt lighter and healthier than I had in years. I have some experience with a high-quality vitamin D supplement, and I have long associated that general feeling of wellness with D3. I think I need more D3 than the oil blend alone can give me, but it is certainly better than the nothing I was getting before. I will be a returning customer for as long as this product is available.

I heard that the fermented cod liver oil/butter oil combo was good for your teeth. I had been having bad tooth pain and could not afford the dentist, so I went ahead and bought some. I buy the capsules and after taking them a day or two the pain went away. The cavity has not disappeared but my teeth don't seem to be getting any worse either. I'm just glad the pain is gone. Also I noticed that I shed hardly any hair anymore either. Before after a shower, I would have a lot of hair that came out. Now its only a couple of strands. Very happy and thankful to have found these pills.

I have a very sensitive nose so I was afraid this would put me over the edge- especially since I ordered the chocolate cream and people tended to say it was bad- I was shocked at how not bad it was! I even got my two kids to try it with no gagging. It was not fishy or disgusting. The only gross thing was the oily texture in your mouth but that can be washed away with water or honey or anything. I haven't been taking long enough to see benefits but as far as the taste, very doable.

I have only tried the unflavored gel, I do not find it unpalatable despite the fact I don't usually like fish. Since taking this my teeth and gum issues have halted and my skin looks and feels healthier, but by far the biggest change was how much my depression and daily anxiety was lessened. After years of trying to be healthier and still struggling with this, words cannot describe the wonderful feeling of being truly well. Thank you Weston A. Price, Sally Fallon and the rest of the real food warriors.

I normally dont take the time to write reviews, but I feel this is one of those products where every review helps. I will start by saying the flavor is not bad at all!! I was worried by all the reviews I read about it being fishy and unbearable. I got the cinnamon tingle and it tastes good to me. I have zero problems. It has a slight fish taste but definitely not overbearing or unpleasant. The sensitivity in my teeth has really improved and they are in fact whiter. I will continue taking, Im glad I found this product in my search to naturally heal my teeth.

Lauren's review is spot on. The cinnamon tingle is very good and easily taken. Tho it tastes like fish the cinnamon masks it perfectly. The chocolate flavor is unpalatable to me. The chocolate brings out the fish flavor in a very undesirable taste combo that you can't easily get off your tongue. Get the cinnamon, capsules, or plain gel for best tasting. Great product besides the choc flavored one.

Last summer I developed what I honestly believe to be a cracked tooth under a crown. The pain was horrible, woke me up at night even. Bought this product hoping to avoid having a tooth pulled, implants, etc. The pain now is mostly gone, I'm still trying to avoid chewing anything hard on that tooth so it can further heal. I also have osteopenia and hope this will stop further bone loss with the vitamin K2 in it. My adult acne has improved 100%. My son's non healing fistulas/pain are somewhat improved even tho he takes the pills sporatically. I will take this the rest of my life for its improved health benefits.

I found out my toddler has 4 pretty serious cavities and is too young to have them fixed. I was panicking because I had no idea what I was doing wrong or how to help her. She fought and screamed in pain when I brushed her teeth and often pointed at her mouth and said 'ow'. I did some research and found out about healing cavities with a nutrient dense diet and this product. For the past month and a half I have cut out all junk food like crackers, chips, cereal, packaged cookies, packaged anything and have been feeding her real food like raw milk and grass fed yogurt and homemade sourdough bread ect. and have been rubbing the gel on her feet with a spatula and covering with socks once or twice a day. I am amazed at the results! not only are her cavities lightening up in color she no longer fights me when I brush her teeth and never says shes in pain. Also as an added benefit her short hair that never would grow and always was splitting is now growing in faster and healthier!

I have only had this stuff for about a week, but so far I have noticed that the enamel looks a little better on my daughter's teeth. The enamel has been wearing off her front top teeth at an alarming rate. I decided to try this stuff along with a diet change for her before we seek a dentist's help. The taste doesn't seem to bother her, I give it to her with about a tablespoon of ice cream & she loves it. I hope to be able to update my review in a couple of months with rave results.

This is by far the best tasting FCLO I have ever had. I have tried a lot of FCLO over the past couple years trying to find one that I could swallow without gaging or burping it up all day. This butter blend is the holy grail of FCLO. I put it in the refrigerator so it gets nice and thick, then scoop out a small amount on a spoon and swallow it like a pill with some water. I am writing a review as I am placing my second order. This is good stuff!

I was desperate after the pediatric dentist said my 4 year old would need to be sedated and have multiple baby root canals and several crowns. and that I could not be present in the room when they did it. FAT CHANCE! after reading all the reviews on this oil I decided I have nothing to lose. For some reason I expected it to taste and smell like dead fish lol. so I was prepared. I had nose plugs (for swimming), a can of frozen juice concentrate with no water, a cup of milk and a chocolate bar! I put the nose plugs on both of us (yes I'm taking it too because I have a tooth that was hurting) before I ever opened it so we would never get a wiff of it. I put it in a dropper and gave her hers she took her nose plug off before it got down but she swallowed it and took a drink of milk and was fine. then I took mine didn't taste a thing, took a bite of chocolate with nose plug still on and didn't taste that either. so I took nose plug off thinking I was gonna have a nasty after taste but all I could taste is cinnamon. so then I saw a little on the spoon and got brave and smelled it hmm smelled like cinnamon so then I touched it with my tongue again cinnamon. Today we took our 4th dose we've just been using orange juice to wash it down. I still wear a nose plug just to make sure i don't get grossed out and I plug her nose when I give it to her because the nose plug doesn't stay well. Anyway could be a total coincidence but the tooth that had been hurting badly for about 4 days hasn't since I took my second dose! Plus, my daughter had an abcess on her gum and it's almost gone. Again, could be a coincidence we've only had 4 doses. but we will definitely keep taking it and I give an update after using it a while. Good luck it's really not bad and I'm really picky.
