Pure Nutrient Dense Lards

Looking for the best and purest cooking lard? Fatworks Pasture-Raised Pure Lard and Leaf Lard are at the top of our list. Fatworks only uses pasture-raised pigs that are never given hormones or antibiotics. These lard products are created using low heat rendering techniques to yield the most nutrient dense fat possible.

Fatworks lards are made for the pan, and are recommended for adding subtle, natural flavor to your dishes. Although we love lard as the perfect fat for frying and sautéing, it can also be used for baking delicious crusts and pastries.

Fatworks Pastured Leaf Lard is prized for its light flavor and is considered the highest quality pork lard in the world. Leaf lard is made only from the so-called "leaf" of the pig. These are protective deposits of 100% pure precious fat. There is no meat muscle in the leaf, and it thus has a milder pork flavor than regular lard. Leaf lard is known by bakers for creating the lightest, moistest, and flakiest crusts. It is also great for frying and sautéing when you want an oil with a neutral flavor that allows the ingredients of your dishes to stand out.
