Why I Love To Cellercise!
The first time I “bounced,” was at a gathering at a friend’s house about 10 years ago. Outside on her deck overlooking a beautiful forest was a mini-trampoline, and it drew me like a magnet. After about 20 fun minutes of bouncing I hopped off and thought – “Now that would be a cool toy to have!”
I had a sense that it was more than a toy, but the full power of rebounding (bouncing on a min-trampoline) didn’t click for me right away. My partner Marie and I did some research (it took a few weeks to find information in those days before the Internet!) and found out that jumping on a mini-trampoline has an incredible range of benefits, including strengthening and toning the body like nothing else, and cleansing the lymph system, effectively draining out metabolic waste and toxins from the body, which otherwise leave slowly and inefficiently.
The Cellerciser is so profound because unlike other exercises, it flexes each cell in our body with every bounce, both strengthening and cleansing them. And you can’t flex your trillion cells by lifting weights, by jogging, or by swimming. Did you know that professional trampolinists cannot rely on any other exercise besides jumping on a trampoline to prepare their bodies for the high g-forces involved in that sport? This is because no other exercise can do what this one does.
Quite simply, rebounding is the greatest exercise ever conceived of, and it has no drawbacks! There is no jarring to the body or joints as in running, no chlorine to absorb as in swimming, and no pain and suffering and risk of injury as in weightlifting. Cellercising (jumping on a Cellerciser) is great fun – turn on the tv, some music, or a workout dvd and bounce away! It doesn’t matter as much what you do on the unit, as much as just doing it!
Over the last ten years, I have used the Cellerciser regularly and rely on it as a main foundation of my health regimen. I love it because is an exercise that can be done any time of the day or night, in any weather. It is fun, and is incredibly effective in toning the muscles and building strength and flexibility. You can see the results in your muscle tone over a few weeks of regular use, and also you may notice clearer skin, shinier hair, and brighter eyes. And don’t be surprised if people tell you that you are looking younger!
Right now I use my Cellerciser in an alternating schedule of 20 minutes one day with hand weights, and 10 minutes the next of gentle free-form bouncing without weights. I am very happy with the results in terms of cardiovascular health, detox, toning and building muscle, and just feeling great!
We were fortunate to discover early on the fact that not all rebounders are created equal: some units could actually be dangerous to one’s health over the long run. We tracked down and purchased what was in 1998 and still is the highest quality rebounder on the market. Made by a man whose father suffered spinal damage due to the use of an inferior quality hard-bounce rebounder, the Cellerciser was created to protect the spine and body by eliminating jarring at the bottom of the bounce. Safe as this unit is, I would recommend starting Cellercising slowly and working up, however – don’t overdo at first! Start too fast and you can cause detox symptoms like headache and sore throat. Just do 3-5 minutes a day for the first few days. Eventually you will find the ideal length of workout for you. Remember, you can achieve great results with just 10 minutes a day of Cellercising! (Note: It is not necessary to jump high or attempt complicated movements on the rebounder to enjoy the benefits. In fact, we don't recommend using the Cellerciser for such gymnastic movements. Instead, stick with the basic "health bounce" where your feet don't leave the mat for a while when you begin to let your body begin to detoxify, tone, and strengthen gradually, and then follow the routines shown in our DVDs.)
