The Perfect Combo!

According to the research of Dr. Weston A. Price, cod liver oil and butter oil, when taken together, provide complementary factors leading to proper essential fatty acid balance. High Vitamin Butter Oil contains arachidonic acid (AA), an omega-6 fatty acid, while cod liver oil is rich in eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), an omega-3. Moreover, the saturated fatty acids in the butter oil promote efficient utilization of the unsaturated fatty acids in the cod liver oil. Finally, butter oil contains a broad and deep range of important quinones including vitamin K, E and CoQ enzymes while cod liver oil is rich in vitamin A and D.

This blend consists of 2/3 Fermented Cod Liver Oil and 1/3 High Vitamin Butter Oil. Perfect nutritional synergy is achieved in just one convenient spoonful!

The Fermented Cod Liver Oil is produced using traditional no-heat methods. In contrast to the harsh refinement processes used by many other fish oil manufacturers, this cod liver oil is gently small-batch handled through a proprietary fermentation technique. This delicate process naturally maximizes nutrient bioavailability and reduces any contaminants in the food. The result is an extremely pure and nutritious high vitamin cod liver oil that rivals those of past generations.

Our High Vitamin Butter Oil is extracted from dairy milk produced by Guernsey and Devon cows (high butterfat producers) that graze exclusively on the green grasses. A specific combination of climate and irrigation produces a rapidly growing specialized forage, ensuring optimal levels of vitamin K2 otherwise known as the X-Factor. Vitamin K2 and other nutrients are then further concentrated by putting the butterfat through a specialized low-temperature centrifuge process.

This supplement did something good for my digestive tract. Little by little over a period of two months a five-year old digestive issue is about 80% better. Awhile back I bought a book by a renowned gastroenterologist and he did mention vitamin A and the foods to find it in. I've been eating a generally good diet but did not pounce on all the foods he listed. Technically something I was doing should have helped but it didn't. Then I started taking about half-a-teaspoon of this mixture three times a day. This was easy and since I got the chocolate gel I'd have it for desert. Not that it tastes like chocolate but I like the taste and my body says thank you after I take it! This supplement covers so many bases including EYES and I can tell a small difference there too. So, thanks to all who provide this healthful and user friendly product.

  • If your kids have a hard time with it, try this-

I take some organic applesauce (from Trader Joe's) and mix a teaspoonful of the butter oil/CLO into it. Two of my kids like the cinnamon one, and my other likes the chocolate only (he hates cinnamon anything). I just mix it thoroughly and it's harder to taste it. You can even add extra spices to the applesauce to further mask any flavors for your kids. Taking this during pregnancy with my other kids helped to ensure they have wide dental arches and way better eyesight (plus we did home birth and no interventions like silver nitrate or antibiotics in their eyes, which may mess up eyesight).

I tried this once because it sounded like the perfect supplement. Not far wrong actually - I got the cinnamon and it tasted fine. Texture was another matter though ... here's the problem: the gel is not gel, just thicker oil. To actually gel, it has to go in the fridge. Then, however, it does not pour because it solidifies, and the spoon does not fit in the top of the jar. So you can't get any out until it liquifies and becomes oil again, which despite the decent flavor is kind of gaggy on the tongue. Problem solver? Wider mouth jar, big enough for a spoon. Or put it in your own jar and label it yourself.
