Q. Do the shower head and bath ball filter remove chloramines from the water?
A. Though the shower head filter is highly effective in addressing chlorine and microorganisms, it does not address chloramines. Chloramines can be removed at the point of entry into the home with a whole house filter containing the right type of specialized carbon. Q. What is the "harmless biodegradable compound" that your shower head and bath ball filter changes chlorine into?
A. Both the shower head filter and bath ball utilize KDF-55 media that consists of finely granulated copper and zinc alloys. The combination of these two alloys in the media allows a chemical reaction to take place when water passes through the media. In the KDF process, electrons are taken from harmful contaminants like chlorine and microorganisms. This loss of electrons changes contaminants into far less harmful, or even harmless, elements. For example, chlorine, when it loses an electron is changed into the harmless, naturally occurring water-soluble chemical chloride.

I just installed the filter and it's great! I could tell the difference right away. Many years ago, we had to abandon our well water for public water. Yuck! This filter is the first one of many I tried that I can give 10 stars. Thanks for the great products.

Ordered two of these for our house a few months ago when we moved in and love them. My husband installed them and said it was easy to do. The city water at our house is particularly chlorine-ey, so I was SO happy to have these ready to go! It made a huge difference and the pool smell is completely gone. The only downside is that the water from the tub faucet isn't filtered, so when we fill up the tub or our daughter's baby tub, it's slower since we have to use the shower head. So worth it though, and will definitely continue to buy these in the future! Water pressure seems like it didn't change much with the addition of this.
