Why Prescript-Assist? Contains both a Prebiotic and Probiotic!
A primary objective of probiotic therapy is to provide therapeutic resistance against pathogen colonization in the GI tract. Prescript-Assist® is unique in this regard as its constituent microflora are representative of those found resident along the healthy human GI tract (vs. most common probiotic products). Its beneficial/healthy microflora, coupled with a proprietary prebiotic, provide for robust maintenance/enhancement of gut microflora and resistance to pathogenesis. Prescript-Assist's® microflora arguably contributes to better health in their in-vitro and in-vivo demonstrated abilities to produce vital nutritional components (antioxidants, enzymes, amino acids, vitamins, etc). Quite unlike most probiotics that incorporate easily degradable lactic acid-based microorganisms, the utilization of SBO's in Prescript-Assist® provides for a pH resistant (able to survive the trip through the stomach) and shelf stable (does not need refrigeration) product.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What is Prescript Assist?
A. Prescript-Assist® (P-A) is a next-generation combination of 28 probiotic microflora "Soil-Based-Organisms (SBOs)" uniquely combined with a humic/fulvic acid prebiotic that enhances SBO proliferation. Prescript-Assist's® microflora are Class-1 micro ecological units that are typical of those progressively found resident along the healthy human GI Tract. And, with more than 5 years in clinical development and testing*, Prescript-Assist remains one of the most effective probiotic supplements for restoring levels of gastrointestinal micro-flora compromised from antibiotics, medication, poor diet, stress, and digestive abnormalities.
*Prescript-Assist Probiotic was the subject of a randomized, placebo controlled, double-blind clinical study (Clinical Therapeutics 2005; Vol 27, No. 6, Pgs.755-761.)
Q. How should I take Prescript-Assist?
A. Suggested Use: Take 2 per capsules of Prescript-Assist per day for the first 30 days, followed by 1 to 2 capsules per week thereafter, or as recommended by your healthcare professional. A full 30 day cycle of 2 caps per day should be used to reconstitute beneficial gut flora following any antibiotic regimen.
Q. Is Prescript-Assist Vegan/Gluten-Free/Dairy-Free/Etc.?
A. Prescript-Assist is completely free of dairy, lacto-fermented bacteria, gluten, animal-products & allergens.
Q. Can Prescript-Assist capsules be opened and put into food?
A. Prescript-Assist capsules are perfectly safe to open and add to food. The powder can be added to smoothies, apple sauce, juices, etc. for children as a way to bypass the trouble of swallowing a pill. Prescript-Assist should not be added to yogurts and such that you plan on storing for days on end. The soil-based bacteria in the product is stored in a dry, dormant state meant to be activated via the digestive tract – once its storage environment has been altered, we cannot guarantee shelf life or the quality of the product being consumed.
Q. Is Prescript-Assist safe to take while pregnant?
A. Although Prescript-Assist is a safe yet effective probiotic supplement, it is recommend that you consult with your physician if you are pregnant or nursing should you wish to add it to your supplement regime.
Q. Can I take Prescript-Assist with another probiotic?
A. Yes. Prescript-Assist is safe to take while taking other probiotics and the bacterial strains within the soil-based probiotic actually may benefit from use of lactic acid based bacteria.
