Our Filtersorb® Whole-House Water Conditioning System provides the most advanced anti-scaling water softener technology, without resorting to harmful salt or potassium-based systems.

A Salt-Free, Environmentally-Friendly Whole-House Water Conditioning System.

Is your water supply leaving a white residue in your sinks and bathtubs? Do your glasses and dishes contain water stains even though they are right out of the dishwasher? Do you see calcification on shower doors and water fixtures? Does your shower head regularly clog from the buildup of scale? Do you feel your soaps and detergents are not doing their job? If so, the effects you are seeing are most likely the result of having what is known as "hard" water. If these conditions are present, a whole-house water conditioning system may be the appropriate solution for you.

Hard water is water that has a high mineral content, primarily in the form of calcium (Ca+2) and magnesium (Mg+2) ions. These minerals will form deposits in your pipes and water appliances often in the form of carbonates, also known as scale or lime scale. Not only is scale unsightly, it can be highly destructive to appliances, potentially decreasing the lifetime of your hot water heater, washing machine, and dishwasher by several years, while at the same time increasing energy consumption dramatically.

Our Filtersorb® Whole-House Water Conditioning System provides the most advanced anti-scaling water softener technology, without resorting to harmful salt or potassium-based systems. The system prevents scale by transforming the dissolved hardness minerals (calcium and magnesium) into harmless, inactive microscopic crystal particles. These micro-crystals stay suspended in the water flowing harmlessly through your water system without sticking to pipes and components, thus preventing the buildup of scale. This whole-house water softener system retains the calcium and magnesium minerals in your drinking water while not adding any other chemicals such as sodium to the water supply.

Unlike traditional softeners, our Filtersorb® Whole House Water Conditioning System never requires any direct maintenance nor does it require salt or other added chemicals, backwashing, regeneration of the media bed, drain line, or electricity.

Feel the Difference

The benefits of this whole-house water softener system include:

  • Skin will feel softer without the slippery feel
  • Hair is shinier, softer, and easier to manage
  • Shaving is smoother
  • Laundry washes bright, softer, and lasts longer
  • Glassware and dishes sparkle
  • Household cleaning is simplified
  • Plumbing fixtures and appliances are protected against corrosion and scale
  • Reduced soap and detergent use
  • Reduces hot water heater costs
  • No sodium or potassium carbonates to be concerned with
  • Water taste is refreshing without any chemical interference

Transform Your Household Water

Radiant Life's Whole-House Water Conditioning System is designed to provide years of protection from scale build-up and reduce or remove existing scale from hard water supplies. The systems are meant for installation at the Point of Entry (POE), wherever the water supply enters your home whereby it can treat your entire house for both hot and cold water.

Filtersorb® can be negatively affected by the presence of high levels of chlorine in the water. We always recommend installing a whole-house water filtration system in front of the conditioner. A carbon filter removes any excessive chlorine levels in the municipal water supplies before the water enters the Filtersorb® conditioner.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q.Why is the Filtersorb® media years ahead of the competition?

A. The Filtersorb® media is manufactured in a clean room environment and has a precise automated and controlled manufacturing cycle which goes through multiple automated manufacturing processes. The Filtersorb® media guarantees the largest surface area with highest conversion capacity in the market. While other manufacturers are providing older technologies, this system has advanced the forefront with our ongoing commitment to advanced technology.

Q.How does Filtersorb® media prevent scale?

A. The media prevents the formation of scale that occurs on heating elements and on the pipes and hardware of plumbing systems. The media does this by accelerating the transformation of the calcium and magnesium minerals into harmless "Nano" particles. When the inlet water goes into the water conditioner tank, the up-flow pulls the water through the fluidized Filtersorb® media which then acts as a catalyst and pulls the hardness minerals of calcium and magnesium out of the solution and then transforms these minerals into inactive Nanocrystal particles. Because the hardness minerals have been transformed into Nanoparticles, these Nanoscopic particles make their way through plumbing systems without attaching on to pipes, fixtures, valves, or heating elements. Several years of testing has shown that the calcium and magnesium bonds cannot attach to any kind of surface resulting in 99% scale prevention.

Q.What is the main difference between water-softening unit and Filtersorb®?

A. The "classical" water-softening unit operates on the basis of ion exchange; exchanging calcium and magnesium ions in water with an equivalent amount of sodium (Salt). When a water softener is used, the result is not only soft water but also increased sodium content in the water supply. This added sodium content has raised health concern by many government officials. Additionally, these softening units require water for backwashing and common Brine water "salt water" for regeneration. For example, in order to regenerate 100 liters of softening resin, up to 25 kg of salt per regeneration cycle is required. This means an added costly expense of salt is incurred for each and every regeneration cycle.

Q.Can I replace a traditional water softener system with a Filtersorb® water conditioner and what difference in performance should I see between the two systems?

A. Yes, you can remove a traditional softener and replace with a Filtersorb® conditioner system. There will be a difference with the new system in that the customer will not feel the slippery feeling that he had with the traditional softener. This is because the hardness was not removed but was crystallized. The customer will have all the other great advantages like up to 30% less detergent usage and cleaner laundry. The additional advantage is that he will not have sodium in his service water. IMPORTANT! The customer may experience a salty taste or slight odor in the water for a short period of time, AFTER REMOVING THE OLD SOFTENER. This happens because the new Filtersorb® water conditioner will clean the pipes that may have a sodium and/or calcium build-up and residue in the pipes in the house from the old softener. However, this lasts only for a short time until the pipes are clean. The customer can be assured that they will never again have a sodium or calcium build up in the pipes, water heater, and appliances.

Q.Will I feel any different when I shower?

A. Your water from a Filtersorb® system will feel like silk and will have noticeable improvements in the feel of your hair and skin.

Q.Will I see any change in the laundry?

A. Your laundry will come out cleaner and feel softer; Clothing will last longer.

Q.How can I test the Media?

A. For a homeowner, the best and most convincing results are using two saucepans. You put two saucepans on a heater. One-pan is filled with untreated water and the other pan with water treated by the Filtersorb® water conditioner. As the water boils down the untreated water will build a hard scum on the side of the saucepan. The saucepan with treated water will have no hardness scum on the side and you will see a circulation of hardness crystals on the bottom of the pan just before the water is boiled out. They are easily wiped out just as the water is boiled out of the pan. The other method will be to observe heating equipment and appliances already covered with scale. After installing your water conditioning system in a few days you can observe that the white scale starts to disappear and then no new scale appears. Our customers have observed their coffee machines and appliances start to clean up from years of scale build-up. They immediately can use less soap and get a better wash. Their hair feels cleaner and feels softer.

Q.If the water hardness is tested after the system is installed will the hardness level be different?

A. The water tested after the Filtersorb® System will have similar hardness levels. In the short term, it may even test slightly harder due to the existing scale being removed from the plumbing (This is usually seen more on the hot water side due to more hardness build up on the inside of the hot water heater and pipes). After the existing scale is removed, normal hardness levels will return.

Q.Does Radiant Life offer a Warranty on your Whole House Systems?

A. For our Whole House Water Filtration Systems and Whole House Conditioning Systems, there is a 10-year manufacturer warranty on the tank and controls to cover defects in materials and workmanship.  The media in our Whole House Water Filtration System has a pro-rated warranty against defects for a period of 5 years from the date of purchase to the homeowner.  The warranty refers to defects in material or workmanship only.  A dated proof of purchase is required for warranty related service.

  • This Does *Nothing* To Soften Water

Although my experience has been a good one, I want to remind people coming off of salt based water softners that you will have the same hard water that you had before as far as water "feel". I live in Indiana, and have particularly hard water, and so we are adapting to that difference after previously owning a different high end water system. Your hard water will feel hard.

I've lived in Las Vegas for over 20 years and I know how hard the water is here - whether it's from a well or from municipal supplies. We had always had a salt water softener because there really wasn't anything else available that we knew about - until Radiant Life came along with their system!I had it installed in my new house and after 4 months I have yet to deal with hard water stains in the shower or any scale build up of any kind! The water coming from from my shower feels great and I can lather up pretty well. When this is teamed with the chlorine filter at the POE you have a great combination for great water all around!
