Our Filtersorb® Whole-House Water Conditioning System provides the most advanced anti-scaling water softener technology, without resorting to harmful salt or potassium-based systems.

A Salt-Free, Environmentally-Friendly Whole House Water Conditioning System.

Is your water supply leaving a white residue in your sinks and bathtubs? Do your glasses and dishes contain water stains even though they are right out of the dishwasher? Do you see calcification on shower doors and water fixtures? Does your shower head regularly clog from the buildup of scale? Do you feel your soaps and detergents are not doing their job? If so, the effects you are seeing are most likely the result of having what is known as "hard" water. If these conditions are present, a whole-house water conditioning system may be the appropriate solution for you.

Hard water is water that has a high mineral content, primarily in the form of calcium (Ca+2) and magnesium (Mg+2) ions. These minerals will form deposits in your pipes and water appliances often in the form of carbonates, also known as scale. Not only is scale unsightly, it can be highly destructive to appliances, potentially decreasing the lifetime of your hot water heater, washing machine, and dishwasher by several years, while at the same time increasing energy consumption dramatically.

Feel the Difference

Our Whole House Water Conditioning System uses Filtersorb®, the most advanced anti-scaling water softener technology. The system prevents scale by transforming the dissolved hardness minerals (calcium and magnesium) into harmless, inactive microscopic crystal particles. These microcrystals stay suspended in the water flowing harmlessly through your water system without sticking to pipes and components, thus preventing the buildup of scale. This Whole House Water Conditioning System retains the natural calcium and magnesium minerals in your drinking water while not adding any other chemicals such as sodium to the water supply.

Unlike traditional softeners, our Whole House Water Conditioning System never requires any direct maintenance nor does it require salt or other added chemicals, backwashing, regeneration of the media bed, drain line, or electricity.

Transform Your Household Water

Radiant Life's Whole House Water Conditioning System is designed to provide years of protection from scale build-up and to reduce or remove existing scale from hard water supplies. The systems are meant for installation at the Point of Entry (POE), wherever the water supply enters your home whereby it can treat your entire house for both hot and cold water.

The Filtersorb® media within the system can be negatively affected by the presence of high levels of chlorine and other contaminants in the water. We always recommend installing a Whole House Water Filtration System in front of the conditioner. This filter removes excessive chlorine levels and other contaminants in the municipal water supply before the water enters the conditioner.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How Does Filtersorb® Media Prevent Scale?

A. The media prevents the formation of scale that occurs on heating elements and on the pipes and hardware of plumbing systems. The media does this by accelerating the transformation of the calcium and magnesium minerals into harmless, stable microcrystals. When the inlet water goes into the water conditioner tank, the water is pulled through the Filtersorb® media, made up of modified ceramic beads. The media acts as a catalyst and pulls the hardness minerals of calcium and magnesium out of the solution and transforms these minerals into inactive microcrystal particles. Because the hardness minerals have been transformed into harmless microcrystals, these particles make their way through plumbing systems without attaching on to pipes, fixtures, valves, or heating elements. Meanwhile, the naturally occuring minerals in drinking water are retained.

Q. What Is the Main Difference Between a Traditional Salt Water Softener and this Whole House Conditioning System?

A. The "classical" water softening unit operates on the basis of ion exchange; exchanging calcium and magnesium ions in water with an equivalent amount of sodium (salt). When a water softener is used, the result is not only soft water but also increased sodium content in the water supply. This added sodium content has raised health concern by many government officials. Additionally, these softening units require water for backwashing and common brine water or "salt water" for regeneration. This means homeowners must buy and add salt to the system regularly.

Q. Is a Whole House Conditioning System Effective for All Hard Water?

A. The hardness level must be below 350 ppm or 20 grains per gallon. Our Conditioner is specified up to 25 grains per gallon, however, since water is increasingly getting harder, we generally do not recommend the conditioner over 20 grains per gallon since the hardness could increase over the lifetime of the system. Therefore, we always recommend that customers know the specific hardness of their water before purchasing a conditioning system. Our Whole House Conditioning System can also be damaged by heavy metals and contaminants such as iron, copper, manganese, lead and zinc. For this reason Whole House Conditioing systems are not suitable for individuals on private well water.

Q. Do I also need a Whole House Water Filtration System?

A. The media within the conditioner can be negatively impacted by high levels of contaminants such as chlorine.  We always require a Whole House Water Filtration System in front of the conditioner. This filter removes excessive contaminants in municipal water supplies before the water enters the conditioner.

Q. Are Whole House Water Conditioning Systems Appropriate for Homes With Private Well Water?

A. The Whole House Water Conditioning System is designed for individuals on municipal or city water. The media within the conditioner can be damaged by high levels of contaminants such as iron, copper, manganese, lead and zinc, which are common in well water. For this reason we do not sell this product to individuals who are on private well water.

Q. If the water hardness is tested after the system is installed will the hardness level be different?

A. The water tested after the Filtersorb® System will have similar hardness levels. In the short term, it may even test slightly harder due to the existing scale being removed from the plumbing (this is usually seen more on the hot water side due to more hardness build up on the inside of the hot water heater and pipes). After the existing scale is removed, normal hardness levels will return.

Q. Does Radiant Life offer a Warranty on your Whole House Systems?

A. For our Whole House Water Filtration Systems and Whole House Conditioning Systems, there is a 10-year manufacturer warranty on the tank and controls to cover defects in materials and workmanship.  The media in our Whole House Water Filtration System has a pro-rated warranty against defects for a period of 5 years from the date of purchase to the homeowner.  The warranty refers to defects in material or workmanship only.  A dated proof of purchase is required for warranty related service.
